This policy explains how you can close your imageabc account or ask us to delete your personal data, and what happens when you do. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. Deleting your account yourself
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. For your security we ask for your current password. Cancel any paid plan first if you do not want it to renew.
2. What is deleted
- your profile — name, email address, profile picture and preferences;
- your projects, uploaded images, AI-generated images and exports, including the stored files;
- your saved settings and processing history; and
- your sign-in sessions and access tokens.
3. Other deletion requests
You can also ask us to delete personal data we hold about you from contact-form messages, support emails or the newsletter by emailing [email protected]. You can leave the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
4. What we may keep
Deletion rights are not absolute. We keep limited records where we must, for example:
- payment and invoice records, which tax and accounting law requires us to keep (usually six years);
- records needed to prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims; and
- security logs (such as IP addresses and request records), kept for a limited period and then deleted.
5. Free trials that never became accounts
Trial workspaces that were never turned into a full account are deleted automatically, with their files, after a short retention period.
6. Verifying requests
Before acting on a request sent by email we may ask you to confirm it from the email address on the account. We will never ask for your password, full card number, CVV or one-time security codes.
7. Service providers and backups
Where our service providers hold your data on our behalf, we ask them to delete it too. Deleted data can remain in backups until those backups are overwritten in the normal cycle; backups are only used to recover from incidents.
8. Deletion is permanent
Once deleted, your projects and images cannot be recovered. Download anything you want to keep before you delete your account.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you may have the right to erasure where, for example, the data is no longer needed, you withdraw consent, or the processing is unlawful. See our GDPR & UK GDPR Data Protection Policy.
