Data Usage Policy

This policy explains, feature by feature, how imageabc uses the information it handles. It adds detail to our Privacy Policy, which remains the main statement of how we process personal data.

1. Information we use

Account information — name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), profile picture and preferences.
Your content — uploaded images, projects and their layers, exports, print layouts, AI prompts and generated images, plus file details such as name, size, dimensions and format.
Plan and payment information — your plan, usage against its limits, payment status and transaction references. Card details are entered on our payment provider's page; we never see or store full card numbers.
Messages — what you send through the contact form or by email, and your newsletter subscription if you choose to subscribe.
Technical information — IP address, browser and device type, request and error logs, and security events.

2. Where your images are processed

In your browser — the editors, filters, adjustments, crops and print layouts run on your device. On the Try for free page nothing is uploaded at all.
On our servers — images you upload to your library are stored privately so you can return to them; batch processing and saved exports also run or are stored here.
With our AI provider — only when you use AI image generation, your prompt is sent to OpenAI to create the image.

3. What we use it for

running the Service — storing, editing, processing and exporting your work;
applying your plan's limits, trial and AI allowance, and taking payments;
sending essential emails (verification, password resets, receipts) and, only if you subscribed, the newsletter;
answering support requests;
keeping the Service secure, preventing fraud and abuse, and fixing faults; and
meeting our legal obligations.

4. What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use your images, prompts or designs to train AI models.
We do not use your content for advertising or show it to other users.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies — see our Cookie Policy.

5. Data minimisation

We collect only what each feature needs. Please don't send unnecessary sensitive information (for example identity documents) through the contact form or email.

6. Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service — hosting and cloud storage, email delivery, our payment gateway and, for AI generation, OpenAI — and only what each needs for its task.

7. Retention

We keep your account data and content while your account is open and delete it when you delete your account, apart from records the law requires us to keep. See our Account & Data Deletion Policy.

8. Your choices

You can download, edit or delete your content and account in the app, unsubscribe from the newsletter in any newsletter email, and exercise your data-protection rights by emailing [email protected].
