This policy explains how Computer ABC System Centre Ltd. ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use imageabc (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
- Content — images you upload, projects you create, prompts you write for AI image generation and the images generated for you.
- Billing data — your plan, payment status and transaction references. Card details are entered on our payment provider's page; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages — what you send us through the contact form, including your email address.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and security and error logs needed to run and protect the Service.
The free Try editor works entirely in your browser: photos you open there are not uploaded to us.
2. How and why we use it
- To provide the Service — store your projects and images and let you edit and export them (performance of our contract with you).
- To take payments and manage subscriptions (contract, and legal obligations for tax and accounting records).
- To send essential emails such as email verification, password resets and payment receipts (contract).
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix faults (our legitimate interests).
- To answer your enquiries (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your personal data, do not use your images to train AI models, and do not use your content for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: hosting and cloud storage, email delivery, our payment gateway, and — only when you use AI image generation — an AI image provider (OpenAI) that receives your prompt to generate the image. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations. We may disclose data where required by law.
4. How long we keep it
We keep account data and content while your account is open. When you delete your account (Settings → Account) we delete your projects, images and profile, except records we must keep by law (for example payment records, usually kept for six years). Security logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Much of this can be done directly in your account settings; otherwise email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
6. Security
Uploads are stored privately and are only reachable through short-lived signed links issued to your account. Connections are encrypted with HTTPS and passwords are hashed.
7. Cookies
We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to run the Service. See our Cookie Policy.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.
